The financial department of Azerbaijan Pedagogical University has been operating since the university's foundation.

 * the university conducts accounting works in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Accounting" of budget-financed departments, enterprises and organizations and other regulatory and legal acts.

 * to provide accounting for the purpose of financial resources and the use and calculations of reserves, estimates of operational costs, calculations of maintenance of the enterprise, maintenance of cash and material prices, fixed assets in accordance with the law, inventory of intangible assets and working capital, and the assigned commission is outdated and unusable checks and removes existing inventories.

* the correct calculation and timely payment of wages and other payments (including travel expenses, scholarships) to university employees, as well as the correct calculation and timely payment of taxes and deductions from wages and other payments, as well as constant control over the execution of obligations and the correctness of other financial and economic facts provides

 * accounting of budget and special funds expenditure estimates and other non-budgetary funds is carried out in a single balance sheet in accordance with the "Accounting plan and information on its application in departments, enterprises and organizations financed from the budget".

 * prepares the information and reports, including summarized financial reports, which are intended to be presented in the manner determined by the university legislation

The financial department consists of 20 accountants, leading accountants and economists.

Currently, the accounting of the university is developed and fully automated on the basis of modern programs that meet the modern requirements of the time. The financial department consists of the following departments.
