  • He was born on March 16, 1953 in Ganja.
  • In 1970, he graduated from secondary school No. 4 of Ganja city.
  • He is married, has two children.

Education, academic degree and academic title

  • 1975, graduated from the School of Philology of Azerbaijan (Baku) State University, majoring in "Russian language and literature".
  • 1975-1977, became a junior researcher at the Russian language and literature teaching methodology department of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Research Institute.
  • 977-1979, was graduate student of the "General pedagogy" department of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute.
  • 1 979-1983, was an assistant of the department of history of Russian literature at Azerbaijan (Baku) State University.
  • 1983-1986, became a head teacher of the Department of History of Russian Literature at Azerbaijan (Baku) State University.
  • 1984, he defended his candidate's thesis at the Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin in Tbilisi and received the scientific degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.
  • 1986-2013, became an associate professor of Russian literature department of Baku State University.
  • 2011, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Dissertation Council for Philological Sciences at the Baku Slavic University.
  • 2012, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences in Philology.
  • 2013-2015, dean of the School of Philology of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Baku branch.
  • 2013, was awarded the scientific title of Professor.
  • Since 2015, has been working at ASPU on Social and Humanitarian issues department
